Vermont's New Economy : Conference Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 - 9:AM to 4:PM

A conference on Vermont's New Economy was held at Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier on Friday, Dec. 7, from 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Speakers included two economic authors featured in Vermont Woman's recent award-winning series on the economy, Ellen Brown of the Public Banking Institute and Gwendolyn Hallsmith of Montpelier.

Focused on economic resiliency, the conference will provide information on Vermont Freedom and Unity Bonds, local stock markets, crowd-funding, SEC regulation changes, monetary reform, financing local food and energy initiatives, new economic indicators (GNH and GPI) and more.

Sponsors include Global Community Initiatives, The Donella Meadows Institute, The Public Banking Institute and Vermont Woman Newspaper.

Brown and Hallsmith were both featured in Vermont Woman's article, "Avoiding Another Jackass Monetary Crisis" by editor Rickey Gard Diamond.
